Extra-Curricular Activities

For students, participation in extracurricular activities is the key towards personal development. For the majority of college and university students, extracurricular activities are an integral part of the college experience. Students become involved in extracurricular activities not only for socio-leisure purposes, but most importantly, to gain and improve various skills. Extracurricular activities provide an opportunity to become involved and to interact with other students, thus leading to increased learning and enhanced development. These activities boost student's educational experience.

The importance of extracurricular activities is well established and a wide and diversified range of extracurricular activities exists in WEC, meeting a variety of student interests.

Students Affairs Committee

Students affairs committee ensures the fulfillment of the objective of enhanced student’s participation in extracurricular activities and greater devolution of powers to students “Students Council”, the representative student body is responsible for managing the extra-curricular activities at the Wah Engineering College. Students Council comprises of selected students (office bearers) who coordinate and manage various extra-curricular activities in the College under guidance of the Students Affairs Committee (SAC).

Students Affairs Committee has been established at WEC to:

  • Enhance / encourage extra-curricular activities in a regulated manner.
  • Facilitate participation of larger number of students.
  • Devolve powers to students.
  • Engage students in constructive past times of their interest.
  • Streamline the selection process for the office bearers.
  • Coordinate issuance of the Event Calendar for the Academic Year.

Students Council (Organogram)

Student Council members are involved in implementation of college instructions regarding general discipline of students. Thus, Office bearers are expected to display a high level of discipline, adherence to university rules and moral values. Students Council comprises of the following office bearers from specified classes.

  • Secretary
  • Treasurer


Following Clubs/Societies are functional in WEC and their performance is regularly reviewed by Students Affairs Committee. Each Society is supervised by a Faculty In-charge and managed by the students.
